Portland is a city. A small one, to be sure, but with the same urban appeal (or better) than it's oversized cousins to the south and west.
If how you start your day is any indication of how the rest of it will go, it makes sense to begin with a good stretch, a scenic view and maybe some positive self-talk.
It's not like we need another excuse to plunge into the cold Atlantic. The heavy heat is already a motivator.
There's a reason half the cars in town are topped with kayaks.
