The Kennebec Commuter got wind of an expanding public transit project here in the capital city that might be just what some commuters are looking for.
It's called Kennebec Explorer, operated by KVCAP. They are receiving some support from local businesses, towns, state and federal government.
Starting tomorrow, the travel lane of northbound Interstate 295 will shut down between Richmond and Gardiner.
The closure will continue through May, Maine Department of Transportation officials announced today.
