Pingree staff to talk about earmarks

Staffers from U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree's office will be in Augusta on Monday to share information about earmarks -- what they are and how to get them.

Pingree spokesman Willy Ritch said the congresswoman wants to get the public involved in the process, show them the forms used to apply for the money and talk about the types of projects that typically get funded. She's not likely to be there in person, but two of her top policy experts will be on hand.

The work shop is set for 4-6 p.m. at Augusta city hall.
