Otten to announce exploratory committeeLes Otten, a former ski industry owner and former minority partner of the Boston Red Sox, is scheduled to announce the formation of a gubernatorial exploratory committee next week. Otten, who is now a director at Maine Energy Systems in Bethel, will talk to friends and supporters next Monday at a breakfast meeting at the Marriott Sable Oaks in South Portland. Afterward, he will announce the creation of an exploratory committee, according to an e-mail I got today. If he jumps into the 2010 race, Otten will join 10 other candidates who have signed up to run.
