
Lawmakers to argue for bills ThursdayMany legislators will return to the State House Thursday to try to convince legislative leaders that their bills should be considered next year. As you'll recall, the Legislative Council met a couple weeks ago to pare down the list of bills that will be considered next year. They cut the list from 373 to 130, with 26 bills left on the table. Now the process allows legislators to appeal the rejected bills. Rep. Les Fossel, R-Alna, will ask leadership to reconsider his idea of creating an insurance fraud division.
