Hill to launch campaignRep. Dawn Hill, D -York, will drop off her paperwork to the ethics commission Wednesday to officially enter the governor’s race, according to a statement she released today. HIll, a lawyer and two-term state lawmaker, will be the second woman — and second Democrat — to enter the race. Green Independent Lynne Williams of Bar Harbor is already a registered candidate, as is Democrat Steve Rowe. Maine has never had a female governor. Hill is a small business owner and Member of the Board of Directors of MMG, a northern Maine property & casualty insurance company located in Presque Isle. “We need a fresh approach and real action to meet today’s challenges and tomorrow’s. Maine is a great state but we’re stuck with the same old problems. We need common sense solutions that bring people together and help everyone get ahead,” Hill said in a statement.
