Anti-casino, Todd Whitman and another poll

A group of Maine legislators will gather in Portland today to announce their opposition to Question 2, which would allow a casino in Oxford County. The effort is being led by House Speaker Glenn Cummings, D-Portland. He is scheduled to be joined by seven Democrats and one Republican, Sen. Karl Turner, R-Cumberland. It's at 1 p.m. in Monument Square. Then in Auburn at 2:30 p.m., former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman will campaign for the McCain-Palin ticket at Harriman Associates.
