2009: The year of the...
After such a huge political year in 2008, it's going to be pretty much impossible to top it in 2009. Yet, with a new president, a recession, people lining up to run for governor, and a scandal or two that we can't predict, it will be an interesting year.
At the Statehouse -- legislators come back Wednesday -- it will be all budget, all the time, for at least the first month and probably longer.
And with the delay of the bill filing deadline, it will take a couple of weeks to get a handle on exactly what other major issues will come up.
