Turnpike construction updateA northbound lane on the Turnpike near Farmingdale and Hallowell ought to be open now, following a closure for road work. A stretch of the turnpike from mile markers 104.5 to 106.5 was shut down from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today for crews to perform road maintenance. The work will continue to stretch north Thursday and Friday. Thursday, crews will close a lane from mile markers 106.5 to 108 in Hallowell from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Friday, the work will be from mile markers 108 and 109 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The other lane will remain open, officials indicated in a release, though some traffic build up can be expected.
