Standout game for DennisMaine linebacker Donte Dennis was recognized by the Colonial Athletic Association for his standout performance against Massachusetts on Saturday. Dennis was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week. Dennis, a sophomore, had 11 tackles, two interceptions, recovered a fumble and broke up two passes helping Maine to a 19-9 win at home. Maine's defense forced six turnovers on the day, and two of them were converted to scores.

Jenn covers Maine college sports for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram. A former Portland Pirates beat writer who has covered two winter Olympics for the paper, Jenn will expand her beat this year to include the University of Southern Maine, St. Joseph's College, Bowdoin College, the University of New England, and Southern Maine Community College.
