Bye week for Maine

Mighty Richmond stayed atop the Sports Network poll this week after beating Maine 38-21 in Orono on Saturday.

Maine (34, 2-2 CAA) meanwhile, has a bye this week before returning to action on Halloween against No. 14 UMass (4-2, 2-1 CAA) at home. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.

Jenn covers Maine college sports for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.

A former Portland Pirates beat writer who has covered two winter Olympics for the paper, Jenn will expand her beat this year to include the University of Southern Maine, St. Joseph's College, Bowdoin College, the University of New England, and Southern Maine Community College.

She will continue to cover the University of Maine Black Bears, the state's only division one program.
